- ↑ Halachos of Brachos Handbook p. 54 writes that lachmejene is mezonot. However, Or Letzion 2:12:5 and Yalkut Yosef (Klalei Sefer Brachot pg 208-214) write that lachmajene which they describe as a meat pizza is hamotzei. The English Edition of Yalkut Yosef comments that this only refers to a meat pie on bread that is hamotzei but the common lachmejene in America is crunchy and oily and therefore mezonot.
