13:26 (cur | prev) +140 Schwartz talk contribs (→Earliest Times for Shacharit: Please look into footnote 13. The ishei Yisrael says that one may put on tefillin before alot to daven then. However, if you look in Shulchan Aruch and Mishna Berura there 12 and biur halacha s.v. kayvan. It doesn't seem so simple that someone who is sitting down can put on tefillin before misheyakir.) 19:53 (cur | prev) −263 RecentChangesEmail talk contribs (→Earliest Time for Some Parts of Shacharit: I don't have the Halacha Berura; however, the Misna Berura from the Pri Megadim allows korbanos to be said at night. So even if the Halacha Berura says that one could say 96 min before, I believe the Mishna Berura to be more applicable. (Also where does 96 come from?? I've seen 90?)) Tag: Visual edit | ||||

19:45 (cur | prev) +22 RecentChangesEmail talk contribs (→Earliest Time for Some Parts of Shacharit: I believe that the minhag in America is that Alos is 72 min shaos shavos before netz. R Henkin in Gevuras Eliyahu (printed less than 10 yrs ago) has a teshuva to this effect. There is actually an English sefer called Dvar Yom, published by Isreal bookshop, where he challenges the idea that anyone really holds this way. A kuntres was written defending this minhag. It is definitely worth clarifying.) Tag: Visual edit |
