One of several rabbinic decrees that our Sages enacted in order to guard the sanctity of [[Shabbat]] concerns the use of [[medications]]. In the opinion and experience of the Rabbis, easy access to medicine could lead to the transgression of certain [[Shabbat]] Labors.
