# Some say that bamba is haadama.<ref>Yalkut Yosef (Brachot 5767, p. 184) explains that the bracha on bamba is haadama since it is made with milled corn that is just crushed but not made into a dough as he testifies to having seen. Then peanuts are added to the mix but they are only haadama. He adds that since the corn was planted for the purpose of bamba it should be haadama. That is based on Rabbenu Yerucham 16:2 regarding hearts of palm. He distinguishes between that and sugar or felafel since they were changed completely. On p. 182 he says chocolate is shehakol since it was cooking and totally changed. Also, the Or Letzion v. 2 p. 117 adds that cocoa trees are like barren trees since they don't have fruit which are edible without processing.</ref>
