Preferred option
- TO avoid all forbidden activities with opening bottles and cans on Shabbat, it's preferable to open the bottles and cans before Shabbat. [1]
- It's forbidden to open a bag or sack of food if the bag will be able to reused whether or not one intends to reuse the bag. [2]
