It is a great mitzvah to deliver a eulogy for the deceased.^[1]

Days when a Eulogy is Forbidden

It is forbidden to deliver a eulogy on Chol Hamoed except for a talmid chacham.^[2]
It is forbidden to deliver a eulogy on Chanuka, Purim, or Rosh Chodesh.^[3]
