  1. It's permissible to count in one's mind without speaking or pointing as long as there's some purpose of the count. [1]
  2. It's permitted to count through another item than the person himself such as a coin or a finger. [2]
  3. It’s a problem of counting Jewish people for people or children standing in a line for each one to say his number. [3]
