Nimukei Yosef

From Halachipedia
  1. Nimukei Yosef's Chiddushim are mostly from the Ritva, but he also draws heavily from the Ran, Rambam, and Rashba.[1]
  2. Despite some Acharonim referring to the commentary on the side of the Rif on Masechtot Bava Kamma, Bava Metzia, Bava Batra, Makkot, and Moed Kattan as the Ran, they are in fact the Nimukei Yosef.[2]

  2. Yad Malachi (Klalei HaRan 12), Shem HaGedolim (Gedolim, Yud 128) though the Beit Yosef also writes this way in Choshen Mishpat, perhaps one could argue he knew it was by the Nimukei Yosef but continued to call it the Ran, as that was what common people thought, similar to his attitude towards Shu"t HaRamban HaMeyuchasot that are really the Rashba
