Homosexuality is prohibited and is punishable by "karet"(severance).[1]

The prohibition of homosexuality

  1. A man may not lie sexually with another man. The punishment for doing so is karet and HaShem considers the act to be a "to'eva"( perversion).[2]
  2. Sexual contact with another man is forbidden through the prohibition of arousing sexual thoughts. [3]
  3. If one notices a desire for homosexuality(or any forbidden activity), they must recognize and acknowledge it. [4]
  4. As with any other desire for a forbidden activity, one must take precautions to protect themselves from committing a forbidden act, especially one deserving of karet.[5]
