MordechaiD posed a question as to why the rishonim who held that you say the bracha of erusin without shem umalchut at the time of nesuin if they didn't say it before erusin didn't think that was a Hefsek between HaGefen and drinking.
Perhaps they didn't have hagefen in such cases, as the hagefen for erusin is only a minhag hageonim. Alternatively, maybe that's not a hefsek if such was the takana to have birkat erusin between hagefen, even if in this case it is without shem umalchut.--YitzchakSultan (talk) 12:06, 16 June 2015 (EDT)

Future Contributions

  • Among possible remaining additions for the future remains an exploration of the nature of Birkat Erusin. Birkat HaMitzvah or Shevach, why. I have some basic notes, but am unsure how to formulate them for this task.--MordechaiD (talk) 17:34, 8 February 2015 (EST)
